Residential Dog Training Holidays for Dog and Owner

We are proud to announce our new dog training option, a residential stay for you and your dog at  fantastic country venue, L & A Outdoor Centre

Location :

L&A Outdoor centre has fantastic scenery and facilities.  You can go on country walks, swim in the outdoor pool, let the kids play in the small kids park or talk to the rabbits, guinea pigs, cows and pigs that live there all inclusive in price.
 

There is a great bar and restaurant for meals and for an extra fee you can have mountain biking, canoeing, gorge walking and other activities included.

The centre is well used by walkers and mountain bikers as there are well known mountain biking trails around.

Accommodation is in one of their wooden cabins with full facilities if you want to self cater.  Click on the pics for full size photos.
 
 

Location is just off the M4 near Port Talbot.

You can bring up to 4 people for the same price so the non doggy people can enjoy the facilities during the day whilst you train your dog!  Extra stay for holiday can be negotiated with L&A staff.

These training holidays will start again from January 2008.  Thank you to the clients who have travelled long distances to use the facility in 2007, it has been a successful and popular option.

Residential Training Holiday Information
  • Your dog or dogs stay in the cabin with you.
  • Up to four people can stay whether involved in the training or not for the same price of £500 for two nights
  • Training starts on arrival between 1 and 2pm first day, roughly 10 until 5 second day and 10 until 1 last day
  • You are given information sheets and exercises for each evening
  • Holiday is self catering but meals can be arranged with the centre for a small charge
  • There are dogs, livestock, people bikes and cars around and in the centre.
  • All holidays are private bookings, no other training customers and each one is individually tailored to meet your needs.
  • If you have a friend that wants to share the cost and training, you can bring them too.  As long as the dogs can stay in the cabin together (a cage can be provided) you can have mixed or individual sessions or a bit of both.
  • As up to 4 people can come for the same price, you could bring 3 other dogs and owners!

Full facilities exist in all cabins so most bookings are self catering.  There are plenty of local pubs, shops and take aways.

All training will be done by Debbie Connolly, occasionally assisted by training staff.

A £50 non refundable deposit is required for bookings.  The balance can be paid either in cash on arrival, by cheque in advance or by card in advance.  As we pay for the facilities regardless of whether you come, we politely ask that funds are cleared before your stay.

This holiday is hard work and most dogs and owners sleep like logs!  If you think you need more time, it would be in exceptional circumstances, but do discuss your needs with us.
