Councils have been approached directly so you should already have information, if not then please email or call us.

We will be producing a list of trainers and behaviourists in each area to give to the council.  These trainers will have been approved by us as capable of training to the standard required by the test and of offering training to those who fail the test.  To be on this list you will have been personally approved by SafePets UK and will appear on this website.  There will be a small fee for this to cover the administration of the process.

Dog owners may apply to their council to take the test for which there may be a fee payable to the council.  Otherwise you may contact us for details of where you can take the test.

Sponsors can contact us to offer their help which we are very grateful for.  A number of large sponsors are in negotiations at the moment.  Sponsors will appear on the website, in literature given to councils and to owners taking the test.

You can help by writing to your council and MP and asking where you can take the test to prove you are a responsible dog owner.

We have sample letters you can use, posters you can put up and one volunteer has produced a petition for owners to sign to send to their council.
